SAF Industrial Viewports (formerly Tate-Jones, Inc.) offers a unit available in 3" or 4" pipe sizes, which mounts to a mating flange. The viewing components are housed in a NPT threaded body half, providing a secure and durable installation. The standard stainless steel slide in the blast gate offers added protection and extends the life of the lens during operation, while also allowing for safer maintenance during vessel downtime. Additional cooling can be achieved by adding a purge connection on the glass or vessel side of the blast gate housing. This unique half-flanged, half-threaded unit is exclusively available in 3" and 4" sizes.

Materials and Temperature Ratings:

• Standard Unit: Made from Class 30 gray iron, with a maximum temperature of 425°F. Custom units are available in Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel upon special order.
• Quartz Clear: Designated by a "Q" in the model number. Maximum intermittent operating temperature is 2048°F, and the maximum continuous operating temperature is 1600°F (glass only).
• Pyrex Clear (Borosilicate Glass): Designated by a "P" in the model number. Maximum intermittent operating temperature is 554°F, and the maximum continuous operating temperature is 446°F (glass only). The glass is heat-strengthened for safety and coated with a heat-reflecting shield.
