All handhole and manhole plates listed below are flat coded plates that have been proof tested 300 to 600 PSI. RING IS NOT INCLUDED IN COMPLETE ASSEMBLY. MUST REQUEST SEPARATELY
ASTM A516-70 plate is a medium carbon alloy designed for use in pressure vessels and boilers. It contains manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and silicon at the highest levels allowed by the ASTM, to produce the strongest carbon steel plates specified by the ASTM. It is a high strength metal, is easy to fabricate and can be securely welded. A516-70 plate also has good corrosion resistance. A common trade name for A516-70 plate is PVQ Plate. A516 plate is also available in grades 55, 60, and 65
All manholes are furnished with a neoprene gasket rated from -20°F to 170°F. (-29°C to 76°C)
500 PSI @ 650°F. The design pressure has been determined by hydrostatically proof testing per ASME Code Procedures.
Material used in the manufacture of the Manhole and Handhole Plates are in accordance with ASME Code Specifications.
